Medical Plans

GuideOne offers employees a choice of three different medical plans to meet the unique needs of each employee:

  • High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) w/HSA
  • PPO
  • HMO (Iowa coverage only)

Health Savings Account (HSA)

An HSA is a tax–advantaged savings account owned by an individual that can be used to pay for qualified medical expenses for the owner and their dependents. HSA balances earn tax–free interest, roll over from year-to-year, can be invested to accelerate growth and are another retirement savings vehicle. GuideOne also contributes to participating employee’s HSA.

Flex Spending Accounts (FSA)

Tax–favored health and dependent care accounts. Pre–tax payroll deductions directed to employee’s reimbursement account.

Telemedicine

ALL employees and their immediate family members are eligible to use this service to treat common health conditions.

 

Wealth

401(k) Plan

GuideOne offers payroll deductions for retirement savings. We match up to 7% on deferrals and employees are fully vested in the employer match after five years.

Employee Incentive Plan and Long-Term Incentive Plan (EIP/LTIP)

For eligible employees, annual discretionary plan that rewards based on meeting company financial and premium goals.

 

Value-Added Benefits

Paid Time Off (PTO)

Employees have paid time off (PTO) to be used for time away from work, including sick time. This is reflective of a 39–hour work week and is prorated during the first year of employment based on start date.

  • Exempt employees: 126 hours PTO and 39 hours of personal time
  • Non-exempt: 87 hours PTO and 39 hours of personal time

Volunteer Time Off (VTO)

Full–time employees have 16 hours paid VTO available to participate in non–profit or charity activities of their choice (pro–rated during the first year of employment).

Observed Holidays

GuideOne is closed on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Education Assistance

GuideOne reimburses 100% of tuition cost, up to $5,000 annually, for approved undergraduate and graduate coursework. Professional and Insurance Designation Program: GuideOne reimburses industry–related and professional certification and designations.
